Description

The WAG Series plastic junction box is a purpose-built enclosure for control wiring, sensor
splices, and small device integrations that must remain clean, dry, and easy to service. A rigid ABS base
delivers structural strength, while the polycarbonate (PC) lid (clear for instant visual checks or
opaque for light shielding) provides high impact resistance and UV stability. A continuous elastomer gasket works
with stainless steel corner screws to compress the seal evenly around the perimeter—achieving dependable
IP65 protection against dust and water jets in indoor and sheltered outdoor locations.

Inside, molded bosses accept an optional galvanized backplate or a 35 mm DIN rail,
so terminal blocks, miniature breakers, relays, and compact power supplies can be mounted neatly with repeatable
spacing. Clearly marked knockouts support common cable glands (M16/M20/M25); fit the correct gland
size and blank any unused openings to preserve the enclosure rating. With a flat rear surface, rounded edges, and
generous screw landings, WAG installs quickly on panels, walls, or machinery skids and remains serviceable over time.

Key Benefits

  • IP65 environmental protection with a one-piece gasket and stainless fasteners.
  • ABS/PC construction balances strength, weight, and UV/impact resistance.
  • Clear or opaque lid options suit visual inspection or light-sensitive electronics.
  • Backplate/DIN-rail ready interior for fast, tidy device mounting.
  • Pre-marked knockouts simplify entry planning and reduce installation time.
  • Clean industrial design—flat back for flush mounting; rounded corners for safety.

Accessories

  • Galvanized backplate (pre-drilled or blank)
  • 35 mm DIN rail with screws and spacers
  • Cable glands & blanks (M16/M20/M25) to maintain IP65
  • Label/marker set and mounting hardware kits

Applications

  • Building automation and HVAC junctions (sensors, valves, actuators)
  • Lighting and signage splices; façade and rooftop control points (sheltered)
  • OEM machinery nodes, small power distribution tap-offs, I/O concentration
  • Water-treatment, pump rooms, plant utilities, test fixtures

Installation Best Practices

  • Mount vertically and use all fixing points; support cables to minimize strain on glands.
  • Open only the required knockouts; select the correct gland thread/diameter and tighten to spec.
  • After wiring, evenly tighten the stainless screws to compress the gasket—do not over-torque.
  • Use clear lids for visual status; choose opaque lids to shield light-sensitive electronics.
  • Record gland sizes, tightening torques, and circuit labels in your job sheet for maintenance.
