Overview
This waterproof wire nut WLE1010 is a silicone-filled, twist-on connector engineered for copper-to-copper splices. During tightening, the neutral silicone flows to wet the conductors and fill voids, establishing a continuous moisture barrier. The ribbed shell ensures firm torque even with wet or gloved hands. Its compact body (Ø12 × 23.8 mm) fits easily inside tight luminaire compartments and junction boxes.
Electrical rating: 600V building wire (1000V max for signs/luminaires). Wire range: AWG #22–#12. Temperature rating: 105 °C. Silicone sealant usable range: −45 °F ~ 400 °F.

Examples are indicative. Actual capacity depends on insulation OD, strand tightness, and available box space. Always perform a pull test.
Installation (Copper/Copper)
- Strip per gauge; keep strands neat and avoid nicks.
- Align conductors in parallel with even tips. Do not pre-twist.
- Twist-on the waterproof wire nut until firm resistance is reached; silicone will flow around the splice.
- Pull test each conductor individually; re-terminate if any movement is detected.
- Enclose inside the junction box; prevent sharp edges from bearing on the shell.
Applications
- Outdoor luminaires, landscape lighting, decorative fixtures
- Signage and display wiring (up to 1000V max)
- Irrigation/yard control boxes and damp-location junctions
- Service/maintenance splices in cabinets and enclosures
FAQ
For best reliability, use a new connector after removal.
The silicone fill provides sealing; additional tape is usually unnecessary unless required by code.
No. Use copper-to-copper only.
Not required. Align and twist the connector so the spring and sealant set the splice.
