Overview

WLE1011 is the long-body member of our silicone-filled waterproof wire nut connectors, engineered for copper-to-copper splices in outdoor and damp locations. The extended shell delivers extra grip and higher torque for faster, more consistent terminations, while factory-loaded neutral silicone flows during tightening to wet the copper and fill any voids, forming a continuous moisture barrier.

Rating: 600V building wire (1000V max for signs/luminaires). Wire range: AWG #22–#12. Size: ≈ Ø12 × 30 mm. Temperature rating: 105 °C. Silicone sealant usable range: −45 °F ~ 400 °F.

Why Choose WLE1011

  • Long-body leverage: easier grip and higher tightening torque in the field.
  • Waterproof reliability: silicone fill seals out moisture and corrosives.
  • Clean workflow: twist to clamp and seal — no separate gel packs or tape.
  • Wide service window: 105 °C rating; sealant usable from −45 °F to 400 °F.
  • Material fit: specified for copper/copper to avoid galvanic issues.
  • Consistent with 1010: same electrical ratings for unified specs across jobs.

Examples are indicative. Actual capacity depends on insulation OD, strand tightness, and available box space. Always perform a pull test.

Installation (Copper/Copper)

  1. Strip per gauge; keep strands neat and free of nicks.
  2. Align conductors parallel with even tips; do not pre-twist.
  3. Twist-on the WLE1011 until firm resistance; silicone will flow to seal the splice.
  4. Pull test each conductor individually; re-terminate if any movement is detected.
  5. Enclose the splice inside the junction box; avoid sharp edges on the shell.
Safety: for copper-to-copper only. Not for aluminum or mixed metals. Follow local electrical codes.

Applications

  • Outdoor and decorative lighting, landscape luminaires
  • Signage/displays (up to 1000V max)
  • Irrigation and yard control boxes
  • Service splices in damp enclosures

FAQ

How is WLE1011 different from WLE1010?
WLE1011 uses an extended body (~30 mm) for better grip and torque, with the same electrical ratings.
Can these waterproof wire nut connectors be reused?
For best reliability, use a new connector after removal.
Do I need extra tape?
The silicone fill provides the seal; additional tape is typically unnecessary unless required by code.
Aluminum conductors?
No — copper-to-copper only.
