Overview

WLE1020 is our bright-body member in the wire nuts waterproof family—pre-filled with neutral silicone for dependable sealing in outdoor and damp locations. During tightening, the silicone wets the copper and fills voids to form a continuous moisture barrier. The easily visible housing speeds identification during maintenance and improves jobsite safety checks.

Electrical rating: 600V building wire (1000V max for signs/luminaires). Typical wire range: AWG #22–#12. Size: Ø14 × 24 mm. Temperature rating: 105 °C. Silicone usable range: −45 °F ~ 400 °F. Copper-to-copper only.

Why Choose WLE1020

  • High-visibility body: faster inspections and fewer missed terminations.
  • Waterproof confidence: factory silicone fill blocks moisture and corrosives.
  • Tool-free workflow: twist to clamp and seal—no separate gel packs or heat tools.
  • Broad service window: 105 °C rating; sealant usable −45 °F to 400 °F.
  • Consistent spec: aligns with WLE1010/1011 for unified 600V/1000V ratings.
  • Outdoor-ready: designed for luminaires, signage, and damp-location junctions.

Installation (Copper/Copper)

  1. Strip per gauge; keep strands neat and free of nicks.
  2. Align conductors with even tips; do not pre-twist.
  3. Twist-on the WLE1020 until firm resistance; the silicone will flow to seal the splice.
  4. Pull test each conductor; re-terminate if any movement is detected.
  5. Enclose the splice inside a suitable junction box per local code.
Safety: copper-to-copper only; not for aluminum or mixed metals. Follow local electrical codes.

Applications

  • Outdoor/landscape luminaires and decorative fixtures
  • Signage and display wiring (up to 1000V max)
  • Irrigation and yard control boxes; damp-location junctions
  • Service splices in cabinets and enclosures

FAQ
