Metal PG Cable Gland — Brass & Stainless Steel (G / NPT Options)
Industrial metal PG cable gland with PA66 compression and EPDM seals for IP68 protection.
Available in nickel-plated brass or stainless steel 304/316.
Full PG sizes plus G thread and NPT variants with precise dimensions for panel design.
Overview
This metal PG cable gland series provides sealed, strain-relieved entries for cables in control panels,
junction boxes, machinery and outdoor equipment. The body and locknut are nickel-plated brass or stainless steel 304/316,
while the compression part is PA66 and the sealing elements are EPDM for long-term IP68 performance.
Key Features
- Threads: PG standard, with G and NPT thread variants available.
- Materials: brass (nickel-plated) or stainless steel 304/316 for A/C/F parts; PA66 compression component; EPDM sealing.
- Protection: IP68 when correctly assembled and tightened.
- Working temperature: −40 °C to +100 °C continuous; up to +120 °C short term.
- Chemical resistance: resists salt water, weak acid/alkali, alcohol, oil and common solvents.
Technical Information
- Function: provides cable retention and environmental sealing through enclosure walls.
- Includes locknut and sealing washer depending on configuration.
- Color/finish: nickel-plated brass or stainless steel natural finish.

FAQ
How do I choose between PG, G and NPT threads?
Match the gland thread to your enclosure or conduit system: PG is common on European equipment, G is BSPP straight thread, and NPT is tapered for North American systems. Do not mix thread types in the same opening.
How do I ensure IP68 sealing?
Strip only the outer jacket where the seal grips, insert the cable fully, then tighten the cap nut until the EPDM seal is uniformly compressed. Avoid overtightening to protect threads and enclosure walls.
