Overview

WLE1030 is the larger-body member of our outdoor waterproof wire connectors line. It is factory-filled with neutral silicone that wets the copper during tightening and fills voids to create a continuous moisture barrier. The robust shell (Ø17.2 × 34.5 mm) provides higher torque and increased sealant volume, making it a dependable choice for multi-conductor splices in harsh environments.

Rating: 600V building wire (1000V max for signs/luminaires). Typical range: AWG #22 – up to #8 (depends on insulation OD). Temperature rating: 105 °C. Silicone usable range: −45 °F ~ 400 °F. Copper-to-copper only.

Why Choose WLE1030

  • High-capacity shell: larger chamber for more sealant and broader AWG mixes.
  • Outdoor reliability: silicone fill blocks moisture and corrosives for long-term stability.
  • Faster workflow: twist to clamp & seal — no heat tools or separate gel packs.
  • Service window: 105 °C body; sealant usable from −45 °F to 400 °F.
  • Safety fit: designed for copper/copper to avoid galvanic issues.
  • Spec alignment: consistent 600V/1000V ratings across the series.

Installation (Copper/Copper)

  1. Strip per gauge; keep strands neat and free of nicks.
  2. Align conductors parallel with even tips (no pre-twist).
  3. Twist-on the WLE1030 until firm resistance; silicone will flow to seal the splice.
  4. Pull test each conductor; re-terminate if any movement is detected.
  5. Enclose inside a suitable junction box; avoid sharp edges on the shell.
Safety: for copper-to-copper only. Not for aluminum or mixed metals. Follow local electrical codes.

Applications

  • Outdoor/landscape luminaires and decorative fixtures
  • Signage & display wiring (up to 1000V max)
  • Irrigation/yard control boxes and damp-location junctions
  • Service splices in cabinets and enclosures

FAQ

What sets WLE1030 apart?
The larger body (Ø17.2 × 34.5 mm) supports broader wire mixes and higher torque for demanding outdoor jobs.
Do I need extra tape?
The silicone fill provides the seal; additional tape is usually unnecessary unless required by code.
Reuse?
For best reliability, use a new connector after removal.
Aluminum conductors?
No — copper-to-copper only.
